Q:Is floor of top lounger solid like cushioned wood, or not firm like a hammock? My cat will only walk on solid base covered with padding
A:It is, definitely, hard and solid. A removable, washable cushion comes with the kit and should be put on top. My new kitty, Mellow, spends most of her time on it! One caution about washing the cushion - don't wash it in hot water or put it in a dryer. I washed mine in cold water and dried it in a dryer and it shrank a little - like a 1/2" on all 4 sides. I would recommend drying it on top of a radiator or hanging it somewhere to dry after washing. Other than that, I am LOVING this cat tree!
Q:Are you able to buy and replacement parts for this product? My cat loves it so much that he has completely mutilated the scratch posts.
A:You can buy sisal rope & rewind the scratch posts yourself. Very easy & not expensive.
Q:is the top perch padded on the bottom , I can see the sides are?
A:The top perch has quilted pad made of the same fabric as the condo. It's removable so you can wash it, and is about the thickness of a bath towel folded in half. It is not as padded as the sides of top perch.
