A:You could certainly put one blanket per shelf. I am not sure about the quilts. I tried one queen size blanket and it was not too heavy. A large quilt might be too heavy. Sorry I can't give a better answer. It would certainly be sturdy enough to hold them, but a large quilt might not fit. Check your measurements before you buy it.

A:I was concerned with stability also, but can assure you that these are very stable. I purchased two and both are on carpet with no stability problems. Obviously, you do not want to move them when they are full as they could be tipsy then. However, I feel very good about telling you they are stable when they are assembled properly. Enjoy!
Q:I am planning to keep this in my garage for storing shoes. Is the seal good enough to keep out dust, dirt, and creepy crawlies?
A:This item has a zipped cover, which contributes a lot to keep out dust, dirt. Putting some camphor balls into the colset can better prevent creepy crawlies. Hope it helps.
